The grapes for Thornton Winery’s Barbera are grown just across the street from the winery. We picked at night to help preserve the vibrant fruit character and crushed immediately afterwards. After completing the primary fermentation, the wine was barreled down into brand-new French oak barrels along with previously-filled French and American cooperage to help frame its raspberry and blueberry aromas. You’ll appreciate the crisp acidity and balance. This is a cellar-worthy wine.
